Learning guitar has just changed. Did you spot when it happened?
It happened about a year ago when many of the online resources for learning guitar developed to the point where
they could be used to REALLY learn guitar. Up until then there had been some very good online resources for learner
guitar players. But none of them quite gave the feedback that you need to check that you are playing correctly.
How Guitar Lessons Are Changing
As a guitar teacher for 35 years I have always felt that there was nothing to replace one on one lessons. I
still hold that to be true. Group lessons are of some value, but simple 30 -60 minute lessons once a week is the
way to go.
What has changed recently is that a whole range of online tools have become good enough to be used proplerly in
a guitar lesson environement. This in turn has affected the way guitar teachers are running their lessons. It is
much more about fine tuning the learner's style and technique. All the lessons and learning stages can be made by
using online resources.
One final new product that I have been using since Christmas 2012 is a computer program called
Rocksmith. I use it on my PC but you can get it on Xbox and playstation as well. Having worked through it myself
for the last three months I am convinced that it is ideal for home practice. I will write a full review soon to run
through all the features of this remarkable program.

Jamorama Online Guitar

This top guitar source has just been updated. The amount of materials
is almost overwhelmimg. At the same time it is so well organised that you can hardly fail with this programme. I
use it with students and it is perfect for beginners and the more experienced alike.
Jamorama - the Ultimate Guitar Learning Kit.
The most complete set of guitar lessons
Play real songs from day one
Huge international reputation
I get approached by people all the time wanting me to market their
products, and believe me, it can get tiresome looking at the same type of stuff day after day. But this product has
me quite excited because it is so different from anything I have seen in a long time.
June 2010 Jamorama Report Update - I've just heard that even
more lessons and helps have been added to the package. I hope to take a look at them soon - either way you will be
playing carols for christmas if you start now. (Or anything else you fancy)
March 2013 Jamorama Report Update - The physical books version of
this course has now been discontinued. This is mainly for cost reasons. It was jolly expensive! But the current
release of the course has added more features that made having all the books obsolete.
This package is so different from the monotony of product that comes
past me that it caught my attention from the beginning. Ben and the team have built on the already solid foundation
that they have in their Learn to Play Guitar with Jamorama books, and developed their product further with the addition of several
exciting new products to further help budding musicians learn to play the guitar.
The three books, Learn to Play Guitar with Jamorama for Beginners, Intermediate and
Advanced, are already proving to be one of the most popular guitar learning guides on the internet.
In addition to this, the Jamorama team have also developed two
exclusive computer games to aid learning of musical notes, both in transcribing and in reading written music.
These games make the monotony of learning to read music fun, and also enables students to develop their ear for
transcribing their favorite songs from the radio. Both games are well presented, and are invaluable in
developing the key skills necessary in being a better musician.
Two bonus e-books have also been added, and these cover how to tune your guitar, and
techniques that will cut your learning time in half.
A further bonus available to customers is a free online consultation to students who
may have specific concerns or problems to address. This is very popular with hard to solve problems.
This package is impressive because it is one of the most complete packages regarding
the whole process of learning the guitar, from strumming, muting and bending, to timing, reading music and
transcribing. There are a few chord shapes I would do differently but that would be just picky.
I really believe this package is at the very cutting edge of learning techniques for
guitar players. It is full of good quality information, and most importantly, it is applied in a manner that is
both fun and maximizes the learning progression of guitar students.

Pure Pitch Review
Pure Pitch - Unique and
Learn to play by ear system
Play along with your favourite songs
Pick up new tunes in minutes
Pure Pitch was recommended to me by a friend in America.
The approach in the course is quite unique. In 35 years I have never come accross a guitar course that really
focusses on playing guitar by ear.
I am afraid I am one of those annoying people who can just pick up a
guitar or sit at a keyboard and play anything. Pure Pitch has explained to me what I do to acheive this. Imagine
yourself doing the same thing and you will appreciate the value of this course.
The only reason I haven't given this 5 stars is that I would say that
you do need some knowledge of guitar playing to get the full benefit of Pure Pitch. Even knowing just 10 chords
and some basic strumming patterns will be enough ground work for you to learn to play guitar by ear. This is a
great partner with the Top Recomendation Jamorama as they work well together even though they approach things in
very different ways.

Scale Mastery Report
Guitar Scale Mastery Comprehensive
Step By Step System
Learn the complete guitar fretboard
Become an All Round Guitar Player
For guitar players who can play a large range chords and hold down a good repertoire of songs
the Guitar Scale Mastery System is ideal.
It will take from being an ordinary player like everyone else you know to being able to play
with a range of options that few guitarists ever look into. Did you know that there are many versions of each
chord and scale. You do not have to stay in the first 4 frets of the fretboard.
By following the Guitar Scale Mastery System you will have a huge range of options when you
look at a new song. For songwriters you can write new and innovative riffs very easily with knowledge. When I
have been coaching a guitar pupil I am always trying to encourage them to experiment with the guitar and the
scales and chord shapes. This makes you a better guitar player. When the sheet music gives you the chords of E,
A and B yet again, you can actually play something original and interesting.
